LoveBug {Photography}

Have I told you that I am a crazy mom with a camera? (I get the crazy part from my mom...hehehe)

And I'm out of control.

For those of you that have kids, I am sure you understand.

You want to capture every second of cuteness, every milestone, every smile.You grab whatever you can get your hands on. An iPhone, point a shoot, Polaroid (ok probably not but how fun were those growing up???), and for some of you the all so confusing/wonderful DSLR.
I apologize for my excessive picture posting.  But I don't plan on stopping anytime soon :)

Photography has allowed me to combine my craftiness and artisticness (spell checker is telling me this isn't a word.  I beg to differ).  With Valentine'S Day coming up, I knew I had to put together a backdrop to take pictures of Bella (Every baby needs Valentine's Day pictures, right? :) I found a small chair at an antique shop a few weeks ago.  I painted it black and recovered the seat in red and white damask fabric that I had.  I had Zac build a small kissing booth out of scrap wood and used leftover paint from another project to paint it.  And I made a "Be Mine" bunting out of scrapbook paper.  For the gray backdrop I used a cheap flat sheet (much cheaper than buying fabric).   And voila, you have an inexpensive Valentine's Day backdrop and props!

Now that she is mobile, taking pictures of her is definitely getting more difficult!  Oh how she is independent with a mind of her own :)

Baby Portia {Photography}

I couldn't wait to snap pictures of this little knockout.

She is one of the happiest babies I have ever been around.  You can't help but go crazy over her dimples and long eyelashes.

Her daddy will have to keep a big stick close by to chase all the boys away someday. :)

Thanks Jen and Bill for sharing your little girl with me!

Little Z {Photography}

I got to spend Saturday afternoon with this little beauty and her equally as beautiful mom.  She has the most perfect ivory skin and gorgeous big brown almond shaped eyes!

She is at the fun age of independence!  Keeping her in my 14X14 dining room to snap her pictures was an adventure in itself.  Luckily, toddlers are adorable just being toddlers.

Thank you Hannah and Chris for sharing your little girl with me!

Mayson {Photography}

I got to hang out with this handsome guy...

Mayson is 17 months old, all boy and full of energy!  We had so much fun at the park with balloons, balls, and bubbles.  He is at such a fun stage and wanted to explore everything.  His curls are darling and those big brown eyes can melt you!

His mom Cat and I used to coach cheer together.  She is a high energy mom who juggles a demanding coaching/choreography career and mommy hood, while keeping a positive attitude through it all.  I have always admired her for her "tell it like it is" personality and her ability to stand her ground.  And Cat is one of the few people that I have met that can talk as much as I can (I mean that as a compliment) :) So I love when we get the chance to catch up!

Thank you Cat for sharing your precious boy with me!

Reese {Christmas Pictures}

This is Bella's friend, Reese.

Reese's parents are Josh and Kristen.

Josh and my husband have been friends since 5th grade.

Kristen and I went through our entire pregnancies together.

Bella and Reese were born 4 days apart and I can't imagine

Gracie {Christmas Pictures}

Another reason I wanted to learn how to use my camera was to bless family and friends with pretty pictures.  Why not spread the Joy?!?!

My friend Stacey is a new mommy to precious 3 month old Gracie.   I am so blessed to have Stacey as a friend.  She has the kindest spirit and most loving heart.  I can already tell that Gracie is going to have her mommy's personality!  She did amazing while I was taking her pictures and was so cooperative as we poked, posed, and prodded her to get her in the right positions for her pictures.

This was the first time I had

Bella's Winter Wonderland {Christmas Pictures}

Thanks to MANY other mom photography blogs, I just knew I had to set up a "winter wonderland" to take pictures of B for her first Christmas.  Who can resist that pretty Christmas light Bokeh in the background!?!?

Of course I meant to take pictures of my "behind the scenes" set up and forgot.  But it consisted of my dining table, Christmas lights, a $4 sheer curtain from Target, canned goods (holding up my lights and sheet), my white down comforter, and random Christmas decorations from our living room.

I also entered the picture below in the iheartfaces "Best Face Photo of 2011" contest.

And my Favorite!

Hoping everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Becoming a Crazy Mom with a Camera...{Photography}

I've been gone for awhile because something BIG happened in 2011 that changed our lives forever...

On April 22 at 5:56 pm our Bella Reese came into this world and filled our hearts with more love than we thought was possible. She is spunky and energetic and full of personality! I just can't get enough of her which prompted me to dust off this

And FINALLY learn how to use it! After reading several books, tons
